This powder room was originally dark and claustrophobic
and almost seemed like an after thought. It lies
off a laundry room and the owners of the home have
never really been able to enjoy this powder room
because of its previous condition. The removal of
a large and dominating old vanity cabinet and the
replacement with a modern pedestal sink was the
trick needed to open up the space and create the
illusion of a bigger room. High-quality porcelain
tile and matching tile baseboards give the
finished room an elegant touch. New textured walls
and a fresh coat of bright paint helped bring out
the true potential of this lovely little forgotten
powder room.
