Porcelain tile that looks just like slate

Many people would recognize the before version of this bathroom if we posted it here, if you live in Lonetree, Highlands Ranch or just about anywhere where your house was build in the late 80s and into the 90s you'd  recognize the before which would have white 4 inch tile, gold fixtures and a gold framed shower glass door, oh and of course carpet on the floor.

This bathroom was typical of those however all it needed was an update. We left everything in the same place including the step up into the shower, and retiled it all in a maintenance free porcelain tile that looks exactly like slate, however unlike slate it won't flake, it won't show rust stains from hard water and it never needs to be sealed.

Three  upgrades that really make a difference in this master bathroom remodeling project were the upgrade from framed shower glass to Euro frameless glass, the change from a fiberglass shower pan to a custom tiled shower base and the addition of a recessed shampoo niche on the back of the shower wall.
