Porcelain Tile Master Bathroom

(This remodeling project is a good lesson
 in making more with less)

You don't always have to go to the expense of Euro Style glass for a shower enclosure. This custom built enclosure is framed using brushed nickel to match the faucetry of the bathroom. The customer upgraded the glass by opting to have the corner polished. This removed the metal frame from the corner and makes a tremendous change in the overall appearance, making the shower seem larger, much more open and airy.

You don't always have to go to the expense natural stone tile to get a rich and elegant finished project. The tile in this bathroom is a good quality porcelain tile. While the porcelain tile in this bathroom is not inexpensive, the tile costs and installation were less half of what they would have been had we used travertine or another stone tile.

However, the results are spectacular to say the least. The metallic listetello line running through the tile really matches well and sets off the design, adding a finishing touch that can't be beat.

Porcelain tile is a great alternative to stone if your budget won't support natural stone tile. The elegance and easier maintenance of high quality porcelain tile make it a nice alternative.
