A Handicap Accessible Shower

The Before :
Our customer lives in a multi-generational household, taking care of his elderly parents. While the original bathroom was showing signs of it's age, the real problem was that the customer's grand parents were having mobility issues and the existing shower and bathtub were too restricting and hard to use and dangerous.

The After: We removed the bathtub and installed a walk in shower with features that will allow the customer's grand parents to live in the house much longer then they would have been able to.  The old vinyl window was replaced with an acrylic glass block window to remove any issues of water damage in the future.

New framing :  We enlarged the toilet room and made it more use-friendly with a comfort height toilet and additional grab bars for support.

The Shower : Got a no thresh hold shower pan so the customer's grandparents could access the shower more readily. The shower pan is also wheel chair friendly so this extends even longer the range of use of the shower for the grand parents if need be.

The Seat : A corner folding seat was installed opposite the shower head

A grab bar:  A corner grab bar was installed for safety.

Shower Head :  A new detachable shower head on a sliding bar was installed.
